Coordinación Rocal was organized as a company in 1994 with the purpose to manage, coordinate, and supervise construction projects, specializing in urban works.

ocal and its personnel, have participated in various projects for prestigious clients, with the specific mission of executing the programs of each project, ensuring the quality standards required by each client according to costs and budgets that enable owners to fulfill their profitability expectations.

. Our service starts from our participation with each client to suggest various constructive systems that result in a benefit for the project, to subsequently perform works with appropriate logistic outlines until full completion of the entrusted activities.

Ing. Roberto Calvet Roquero
Managing Director

 

Mr. Calvet obtained a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, with the thesis entitled “Metodología de la Gerencia de Proyecto aplicada al desarrollo de Proyectos Turísticos” (Project Management Methodology applied to Tourism Project development,” while being the President of the Civil Engineering Student Association. He later studied Corporative Finance, also at Universidad Iberoamericana.

Since 1990 he has participated in more than 50 construction projects for companies such as CIPSA, Grupo CIA, PMI and currently, for Coordinación Rocal with clients such as Club Regina, Lomas Santa Fe Group, Casa Real, Quinta Real, Villa Vera, ASA, Nextel, Génesis, Universidad Anáhuac, Telmex, Officemax, Visa, Museo del Niño, Fondo de Cultura Económica, etc. He has acquired experience in many project types different specialties, particularly as a Construction Director, Project Director, and Managing Director.

Mr. Calvet has participated as a lecturer in forums such as ALIS (American Lodging Investment Summit, Los Angeles ), Bolsa Mexicana de Inversión Turística de Fonatur (Mexico City), and the Construction Chamber National Tourism Meetings (Mexico City).

He currently acts as a Coordinator of the Tourism Sector in the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry, as a Deputy Advisor in Amdetur (Mexican Association of Tourism Developers), founder and leader of the G-TUR (Group of companies specialized in tourism developments), as well as Managing Director and Advisor of the Calregi company.

 

Ing. Juan Visoso del Valle
Director

 

 Mr. Visoso obtained a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from National Autonomous University of Mexico, majoring in Management Projects in the UCLA, Los Angeles, CA., Master Bussines Administration (AD-2) from IPADE, Mexico City, and Strategic Planning and Organization from Stanford University, California, EEUU.

His professional activity has been at the construction and real-estate areas, performing in the Group ICA charges like: Resident engineer of edification, Gerente of project in real-estate developments, Touristics Development  Director, Corporative Director of Strategic Planning, Bussines Administration Corporative Director, General Manager of Urban Constrution ( edification ), and Executive Director of ICA Foundation.

With this activity, his mainly experience is the management of edification works like hospitals, office buildings, urban bridges, shopping centers. teams's direction multidisciplinarios for the development of real estate projects, coordinating designing architectonic activities, construction, technician, financiers and of operation, acting for the investors in over ten hotels, several residential tourist developments, two integral tourist projects, several office buildings and over 3000 low-cost housing.

In the real estate developments, he participated as a member from the advice and steering committees with associates like Sheraton, Radisson, American Express Bank, Grupo Costamex, Banamex, Koll, Co., Grupo Desc and another housing developers.

He has participated like Tourism Coordinator in the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry and at Mexican Civil Engineers College like counsellor of his Professional Update Center and member of the Committee of Infrastructure and Group 2025.


 

 

 

 Dr. Moisés Ramírez Márquez
Planning Director

 

 

 

Dr. Ramírez is the Planning Director of the company. He is in charge of managing the planning, design, control and start-up of project operations. He has more than thirteen years of experience in construction project management, technical and financial feasibility studies, work construction and audits for hotel, housing, road, and bridge projects, among others. He has been a senior consultant in project management and strategic planning consultancies. Dr. Ramírez graduated as a Civil Engineer from Universidad Iberoamericana, he has a Management Diploma by the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He has taken courses in economic engineering at the Universidad de Barcelona (UB), he has a PhD in Engineering (Suma Cum Laude) with a specialty in Project Management, by the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (UPC), Barcelona, Spain.


He has been a professor of Project Economic and Financial Evaluation, in the masters and diploma program of the Civil Engineering Department of the Universidad Iberoamericana. He is the author of several articles related to Construction Management that have been published internationally through “fuzzy” logic systems. He has participated as a lecturer in international bridge engineering congresses and is a member of several engineering associations such as the European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technology, International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering as well as Project Management.
